1997 Upper Deck Collector's Choice Baseball Factory Set
This 506-card set (produced by Upper Deck) was distributed in 12-card first series packs with a suggested retail price of $.99 and 14-card second series with a suggested retail price of $1.29. The fronts feature color action player photos while the backs carry player statistics. The first series set contains the following subsets: Rookie Class (1-27), League Leaders (56-63), Postseason (218-224) which recaps action from the 1996 playoffs and World Series Games and Ken Griffey Jr. Checklist (244-249) which also carry collecting tips. The second-series set contains the following: 199 regular player cards, 10 Ken Griffey Jr.'s Hot List (325-334), 18 Rookie Class, 3 Collecting 101 Set checklists, and 30 full-bleed All-Star cards. Notable Rookie Cards include Brian Giles.
