What is a “Reed Buy”?
Reed Kasaoka is the head buyer of the Sports Division at Dave & Adam's. His primary responsibility is traveling all over the country, buying private collections out of people’s closets, bedrooms, attics, basements, garages, and storage units, as well as complete inventories of show dealers, shop owners, autograph dealers, and distributors. Reed comes up with some amazing finds – rarely seen unopened boxes, quality graded cards, certified autographed memorabilia, and much more.
We have tagged all of his acquisitions as a Reed Buy so you’ll know where to look first for all of his deals. Almost every item is “one-of-a-kind” – so when you see something interesting, don’t hesitate, because there are likely many other collectors who are thinking the exact same thing!
1981 Topps Football Grocery Cello Pack

The 1981 Topps football card set contains 528 standard-size cards. The fronts have a pennant-like design at the bottom. This design includes the team name and the player's name. The player's position is also at the bottom. Horizontally designed backs contain year-by-year records, highlights and a cartoon. Super Action (SA) cards of top players are scattered throughout the set. Subsets include league leaders (1-6), Record Breakers (331-336) and playoffs (492-494). Team Leader (TL) cards feature statistical leaders on the front and a team checklist on the back.
The key Rookie Card in this set is Joe Montana. Other Rookie Cards include Dwight Clark, Vince Evans, Dan Hampton, Art Monk, Eddie Murray, Billy Sims and Kellen Winslow.
These individual packs would have come three to a Topps Grocery Rack Pack. Each pack is factory sealed in clear cellophane witha stick of gum.
