The Founding Fathers of America were a group of men (and a few women) who birthed a new country, transforming 13 British Colonies into the United States of America. The Founding Fathers convinced the 13 colonies to unite, wrote a Declaration of Independence to King George, fought of his soldiers in the American Revolution and wrote a Constitution with a Bill of Rights to support their new democratic republic. The first few presidents of the new republic expanded their territory from the original 13 states to include Florida, Texas and the Louisiana Territory. They established Washington D.C. as the capitol and key institutions including the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress and universities.

Plate Relic: Export China Dinner Plate from Thomas Jefferson's Presidential Service
The plate used to make out relic cards was a Chinese Export porcelain plate, bearing the blue J and Shield pattern of the Thomas Jefferson Presidential Service, hand-painted dark blue edges, relieved in gold, in the center the script initial "J" enclosed in a Neoclassical shield outlined in blue enamel wiith 13 gold stars, surmounted by a knight's helm, circa 1790

Coin Relics: Founding Fathers Coin Cards
Coins from as far back as 1719 have been procured for our Founding Fathers series. Each coin symbolizes an important date in the history of our fledgling country. The earliest coins are, of course, British coins, while every coin starting from 1794 American-made.

Written Word Relic Cards:
Historic Autographs always use documents and signed letters to make out beloved Written Word cards. Each card has guaranteed authentic words written by the person shown on the card. There is a Document Library on the Historic Autographs website for each product so you can match them to the document.

Stamp Relic:
The Founding Fathers Stamp relic cards will have authentic US stamps of the person shown on the cards. Some of the stamps are important and valuable issues from our country's treasured past.

Dirt Relic Cards:
Continuing the authentic dirt relic series with a handful of new places. The dirt inside each card has been legally procured and comes from the place designated on the front of the card.
