The Greatest Triple Auto Of All Time

The United States Men’s Basketball squad put on a show to end the Summer Olympics, securing the gold medal in a 98-87 win over Victor Wembanyama and the French. This team will go down as one of the most iconic in the history of American basketball. You have young studs like Anthony Edwards and grizzled vets like Kevin Durant. Then you have Steph Curry, who’ll likely go down as the greatest scorer of all time, draining threes to secure the win. And, of course, Lebron James led Americans in rebounds per game (6.8) and assists per game (8.5) and only trailed Curry in points per game (Curry – 14.8, James – 14.2) in what will likely be his last Olympic run.

Naturally, Topps is commemorating the team with a series of Topps Now cards. A lucky collector who orders one will receive what many are calling the greatest triple autograph card of all time. For the first time, Lebron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant, three players who have defined the NBA for almost two decades, will have their penmanship on the same card.

Theft At The National

At the National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland, two thieves made off with a vehicle containing more than $200k worth of sports cards. This news comes just months after a much more elaborate heist at the Dallas Card Show, which left one vendor short $2 million in baseball cards, including six 1952 Mickey Mantle cards. Police are still investigating these separate matters, but we’re hopeful that all cards will be returned to their rightful owners.

Alt’s Top Risers & Fallers

Alt shares its ten biggest risers and fallers each week regarding hobby value. Last week, their biggest riser wasn’t an athlete but a Disney character – Stitch! His spike in value coincided with the week in which Disney announced a live-action remake set to release in 2025. Other risers include Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson, Miami Dolphins RB De’von Achane, and Yankee’s new outfielder Jazz Chisholm.

The biggest faller last week was Spanish wonderkid Lamine Yamal. With him not representing Spain in the Olympics and the dust settling from the 2024 Euros Tournament, in which he became the event’s youngest goalscorer of all time, it does make sense. There’s no reason to panic if you recently bought into the young superstar. This is just a result of where we are in the soccer calendar. Other fallers include Chicago Blackhawks Superstar Connor Bedard, Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis, and Mickey Mouse.
