Doesn’t it feel like the NFL regular season is the 17 fastest weeks of the year? Let’s take a look at our final regular season winners for the Dave & Adam’s “Leaders of The Pack”.
Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill – Miami Dolphins – 25 for 38, 350 yards, 2 touchdowns
The Patriots might have rested a few starters, but Tannehill still gets high marks from us for his performance in the Dolphins’ win over New England. Tannehill’s second touchdown pass provided the winning points for Miami as they took the lead for good in the fourth quarter. Despite a season that ended with a 6-10 record and included a midseason coaching change, Tannehill posted a new career high in passing yards this year.

Running Back: TIE Ronnie Hillman – Denver Broncos – 15 carries, 117 yards, 1 touchdown; CJ Anderson – Denver Broncos – 15 carries, 95 yards, 1 touchdown
While the Broncos went with a two-headed monster at quarterback on Sunday, it was Denver’s 1-2 punch in the backfield that carried them to the number one seed in the AFC. Hillman and Anderson combined for over 200 yards on the ground and a pair of second half touchdowns to help clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs for the Broncos.
Wide Receiver: Antonio Brown – Pittsburgh Steelers – 13 catches, 187 yards, 1 touchdown
We may start referring to Brown as “Five-time” because this is his fifth “Leader of The Pack” award of the season. Brown and the Steelers punched their ticket to the postseason thanks to their win over the Browns combined with the Jets losing to the Bills. He was once again Ben Roethlisberger’s favorite target as he snagged 13 passes in the victory. It was also the fifth time this season that Brown recorded double digit catches and his fourth game with more than 175 yards, which is an NFL record.
Stay tuned as we’ll be handing out more “Leaders of The Pack” awards during the postseason. If you had to pick a “Leader of The Pack” for the entire season, who would you pick? Send your nominees to [email protected].
