Rare 1/1 Jordan Logoman up for $1.7 million at Goldin Auction

The first autographed Logoman patch card of Michael Jordan in a Chicago Bulls uniform is currently up for auction through Goldin. Coming from the 2003-04 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection, this PSA Authentic, 10 Auto (with a game-used patch) sits at $1.7 million with the buyer’s premium. However, it doesn’t close until June 1.

In the description, Goldin says the 2002-03 Ultimate Collection featured a trio of Jordan Logoman patches within the NBA Logo Mania Patch Autographs, although those featured MJ in his Washington Wizards uniform.

Goldin also says the card’s whereabouts were unknown for almost two decades until it surfaced at PSA in 2022, and this is the first time we’re seeing this card in a public auction.

After typing in “Michael Jordan” in the search bar of 130Point, it looks as though Jordan’s Bulls Logoman has the potential to break a record if it hasn’t already.

Looking at the results from the highest price, the only Jordan collectibles that sold for higher is his ‘The Last Dance’ Game 1 Worn Jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals for $10 million in September 2021 from Sotheby’s, a set of six Championship Clinching Game Worn Air Jordan Sneakers from ’91, ’92, ’93, ’96, ’97, and ’98 for $8 million also at Sotheby’s, and a 1992 ‘Dream Team’ Photo Matched Signed and Inscribed Game Used jersey of his with all the proper certifications from MeiGray, JSA, and PSA. That sold last May also through Goldin for more than $3 million.

Now, looking at his card sales, Jordan has a pair of 1997-98 Upper Deck Game Jersey Autographs hand numbered to 23 that sold for just under a million. A PSA 7 sold for $990,000 in August of 2022 through Goldin, and a BGS 8, 10 Auto sold for $840,000 in January 2023 through PWCC. The other card I’ll mention is a 2003-04 Exquisite Collection Limited Patch Auto /75 PSA 9, 10 Auto, sold for $780,000 in July 2021 in another PWCC auction.

His Airness’s Logoman has a chance to clear the $2.4 million sale of LeBron James’ PSA Authentic Triple Logoman from 2020-21 Panini Flawless from 2022, in my opinion, but it may fall just short of the Dream Team jersey. What do you think this will close for?
