Cryptozoic has confirmed that Nathan Fillion will play a big part in their upcoming Castle Seasons 1 & 2 trading cards. Not only will he have regular autographs, but he’ll also appear on the release’s lone autographed costume card.
Fillion plays Richard Castle, one of the leads in the hit crime show. His character is a writer who finds himself working with the police to solve crimes.
With roles in Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Fillion has amassed a large and very passionate fan base. Previously, Fillion has signed for three Inkworks sets: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 7, Serenity and Firefly.
His basic autograph in Cryptozoic Castle Seasons 1 & 2 is one of 12 in the set. While most of the regular cast have signed, there is one notable name that’s absent from the checklist — Stana Katic, the show’s other lead. That said, fans of the show should recognize most, if not all, of the signers. Autographs combine to fall 1:24 packs, or one per box.
According to Non-Sport Update Magazine, the Nathan Fillion autographed costume card is inserted 1:480 packs. The costume swatch is from a show-worn suit jacket.
The set also has 31 different regular Wardrobe costume cards. Falling 1:18 packs, there’s a solid chance many boxes will have two. On top of that, there’s ten pack-inserted dual wardrobe cards, inserted 1:57 packs. An eleventh dual costume card is exclusive to the set’s binder.
Cryptozoic Castle Seasons 1 & 2 arrives in March. Click here for a full checklist.
