2016 Topps Strata Baseball preview

Topps Strata returns for the 2016 season after a strong rookie performance last season. 2016 Topps Strata Baseball features one Strata Autograph and one Strata Relic or Strata Auto Relic per box.

The Strata Autograph checklist includes 30 different players. Autographs have six levels of numbered parallels: Orange (#’d to 125), Blue (#’d to 99), Green (#’d to 75), Black (#’d to 50), Gold (#’d to 25) and Red (#’d 1/1). Strata Signature cards have Gold parallels numbered to 25 and one-of-one Red parallels. Dual Autograph cards are numbered to just five. Look for rare one-of-one Cut Signatures as well.

Relic pieces in Strata once again feature MLB Authentic memorabilia. Swatches include a MLB logo hologram sticker that contains a code to indicate what game the piece of memorabilia was used in. Strata Relics have six levels of numbered parallels. One level that is different from autograph cards are the Baseball parallels numbered to three. These feature a piece of game-used baseball. There are five types of one-of-one Red parallels: MLB logo patch, laundry tag, jersey button, button hole and Majestic logo patch.

Clearly Authentic auto relics include a signature and an MLB authenticated memorabilia swatch. Parallels are identical to the Strata Relic except for no Baseball parallels. Strata Signature patch autos are numbered to 25 with Gold (#’d to 5) and Rivet (#’d 1/1) parallels. Rivet parallel contain the best patch swatches in the product, and are held together by a rivet that allows the different layers of the card to be fanned out.
