Topps Pro Debut Baseball traditionally showcases players that are making a name for themselves in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) as well as recent draft picks that making their pro debut. This year’s set will do more of the same with some new autograph and memorabilia cards. 2015 Topps Pro Debut will have two auto and mem cards per box.
The base set will have 200 cards with a design similar to 2015 Topps Series 1 Baseball. Base cards featuring recent draftees will have a Pro Debut logo on them. There are four levels of parallels with specially colored borders, Gold (#’d), Orange (#’d to 25), Red (#’d to 5) and Black (#’d 1/1), plus one-of-one Printing Plates.
Topps Pro Debut has two new sets of relic cards for 2015. Pennant Patches come with team logos on a patch shaped like pennant. Fragments of the Farm go the more traditional route with uniform swatches. Topps has also brought back Mascot Patch Cards with pictures of MiLB mascots presented as a patch. All three sets have three levels of numbered parallels and one-of-one Printing Plates.
Autograph cards include signed versions of base cards. New for 2015 is Dual Affiliation Autographs, which have signatures from two players from the same organization on them. Both sets have numbered parallels available.
2015 Topps Pro Debut also has two new sets of insert cards. Distinguished Debuts highlights 25 players that made an impact in the first professional season during 2014. Promo Night Uniforms takes a look some of the crazy and unique themed jersey nights from across all levels of MiLB.
