2015 Topps Opening Day Baseball preview

The baseball playoffs may be heating up but it’s never too early to think about next season (especially if your favorite team is eliminated). 2015 Topps Opening Day Baseball will kick off the season next March with a fresh batch of new insert cards plus autograph and relic cards.

The base sets boasts 200 players including 75 Series Two preview cards. Opening Day Edition parallels are printed on foilboard with the 2015 opening day date foil-stamped on the card and come sequentially numbered to 2015. Opening Day 1/1 Edition parallels are similar but have a special black border and are numbered one-of-one. Four different Printing Plates are also available for all 200 base cards (800 total) and come numbered 1/1.

Insert cards come one per pack and there are several sets to collect including four new ones. Hit the Dirt showcase 15 players sliding into base. Franchise Flashback features players wearing their team’s throwback uniform. Team Spirit highlight some memorable team spirit shown this past season by either players or mascots. #toppslive uses pictures taken by fans at MLB games last season that were posted on Instagram. You can also look for Superstar Celebrations, team Mascots, and Opening Day Stars insert cards.

There are two sets of autograph cards in Opening Day Baseball. Opening Day Autographs features the signatures from 10 players. There are also five Mascot Autographs cards. Opening Day Relics contain jersey swatches with 10 different players featured.
