2015 Bowman Chrome Baseball preview

The ultimate set for collectors of top baseball prospects, Bowman Chrome Baseball, returns in September with the latest crop of talent from the diamond and some new features. 2015 Bowman Chrome will come with two autographs per hobby box and five autos in jumbo boxes.

The base features 200 players with both veterans and rookies represented. In addition to the base cards there are 100 Chrome Prospects of players that did not appear in 2015 Bowman Baseball. All 300 subjects will have eight levels of numbered Refractor parallels to chase, including hobby exclusive Orange Refractors numbered to 25, Red Refractors numbered to five and one-of-one SuperFractors. Look for hot packs that contain rare Wave Refractors as well.

Chrome Prospect Autographs and Chrome Rookie Autographs both feature on-card signatures, and have numbered parallels in similar quantities and colors as the base set. The only difference is there are no Purple Refractors of the rookie autograph cards.

Dual Autograph cards will feature pairings of rookie and veterans players. Base versions are numbered to 25 with Red Refractor parallels numbered to five and one-of-of SuperFractors also available. Bowman Black Continuity autos and All-American high school autograph cards can also be found in 2015 Bowman Chrome.

Leading the list of new features in Bowman Chrome are Series Next Die-Cuts. These showcase the hottest young talent in MLB with a striking die-cut design. There are four levels of numbered Refractor parallels, including Haze, Vapor (#’d to 25), Torrent (#’d to 5) and SuperFractor (#’d 1/1). Look for autographed versions of Series Next Die-Cuts.

Bowman revisits history with SuperFractors That Never Were. These unique one-of-ones take previous Bowman cards of some current and retired MLB stars and give them the SuperFractor treatment. These also have signed editions available that are also numbered one-on-one.

New prospect inserts include Prospect Profile Minis highlight up and coming stars, but on a smaller scale with a vertical design. Prime Position Autographs call out the top prospects for each position on the diamond. Both sets have five levels of numbered Refractor parallels: Green, Gold, Orange (hobby exclusive #’d to 25, Red (#’d to 5) and SuperFractor (#’d 1/1).
