2015-16 Leaf Metal Hockey preview

2015-16 Leaf Metal Hockey will provide collectors a chance to find some of the first autographs of the 2016 NHL Draft class as well current NHL stars and legends. Each box will come with five autograph cards printed using Leaf Metal technology.

Many of the players projected to go near the top of the first round of the 2016 draft are in Leaf Metal, including Matthew Tkachuk, Jesse Puljujarvi, and Jakob Chychurn. 2017 draft eligible prospect Nolan Patrick and 2018 prospect Joseph Veleno also signed for the product. Veleno was just the fifth player granted “exceptional status” to play major junior hockey in Canada at age 15. He’s the fifth player to earn the distinction, joining Connor McDavid, John Tavares, Aaron Ekblad and Sean Day.

Current NHL rookie and Leaf-exclusive autograph subject, Jack Eichel, appears in Leaf Metal Draft as a special case hit. Every 15-box case will have at least one card signed by Eichel.

Team Miracle 80 autographs feature autographs from 17 members of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team that won the gold medal in Lake Placid. Pride of a Nation autos highlight the country of origin for certain legendary players. Immortals include signature from legendary players, including Martin Brodeur, Patrick Roy and Steve Yzerman.

All base and insert autographs in Leaf Metal will have eight different levels of parallels.
