When collectors think of big hit premium releases Panini’s Flawless brand quickly comes to mind. Although they can not use MLB logos or names the content and quality does not suffer as Panini Flawless Baseball packs plenty of premium hits like gemstones, huge jersey patches and on-card autographs. Each box will contain 7 autographs, 2 memorabilia cards and 1 jewel card when the product releases this October. Let’s take a look at the breakdown collectors can expect to find!
The base set is slightly changed from a year ago instead of an assortment of gems you will now find a card numbered to 20 with a diamond embedded in it. There are themed subsets like All-Stars, Milestones and Nicknames as well as two unique parallels to chase – Pink Dual Diamond cards (#/3) and Black 1 of 1 cards!
Continuing the gem theme are Legends Gems which highlight some of the all-time best legends from the New York Yankees, including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, and Joe DiMaggio! Each player’s card will have nine gems and there will be a quad card that boasts 20 sapphires!
2018 Panini Flawless Baseball contains 1 of 1 inserts for Bat Barrels and Bat Nameplates, plus there is the new and very cool looking Spikes cards (#/18 or less). In addition, Jumbo Legends showcase large jersey swatches from many Hall of Famers from days gone by.
On-card autographs are the standard in the Flawless brand and collectors can look forward to a couple of rookie sets in Rookie Patch Autographs and Rookie Dual Patch Autographs. Current stars and legends can be found in Greats Dual Memorabilia Autographs. The base editions for each of these sets, limited to 25 or less, give way to Ruby (#/20 or less), Sapphire (#/15 or less), Gold (#/10 or less), Emerald (#/5 or less) and Black (1/1) parallels.
Finally legends who are no longer with us are represented in Flawless Material Cuts. Numbered to 10 copies or less, these cards combine a cut signature and jersey swatch from such names as Babe Ruth, Roberto Clemente and Ty Cobb, among others. 2018 Panini Flawless Baseball is set for release on October 31st with 10 cards per box (2 boxes per case).
