2016 Panini Flawless Baseball preview

The “rumors” are true, 2016 Panini Flawless Baseball does exist. We speculated about a possible Flawless Baseball set after Panini posted pictures on social media of Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty signing Flawless cards earlier this week. Panini has now confirmed the product is coming out this June and provided a brief overview.

The configuration for Flawless Baseball is the same as most current Flawless products with two boxes per case and six autographs, two memorabilia cards and two jeweled base cards per box.

All jewel cards will be numbered to 20 or less with MLB veterans, rookies and retired players represented. Jeweled cards will have Diamond, Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby versions. There are also Alma Mater jewel cards featuring players in their respective college team’s uniform and USA Baseball National Team cards that contain red, white and blue gems.

The majority (if not all) of the autographs in Flawless Baseball will be on-card. With six signed cards per box there’s a large variety of autograph sets, including Flawless Signatures, Flawless Rookie Signatures, Flawless Dual Signatures, Transitions, Red/White/Blue Autographs, Hall of Fame Autographs, Greats Autographs and Rookie Autographs. Autographs will have low-numbered parallel versions as well. Look for auto relic as well, including patch autos and dual relic autos.

Flawless’s memorabilia hits include relics from some of the greatest baseball players of all time. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jackie Robinson, Stan Musial, Ted Williams and Ty Cobb are just some of the legends that have relic cards, some also have cut signatures in Flawless as well.
