MVP Monday is back, and we hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday! Every Monday we highlight an employee who has been absolutely killing their job here at Dave and Adam’s. With the holiday season in full swing, our customer service employees have been doing everything in their power to ensure the customer’s experience is flawless from start to finish. Our MVP this week has been processing orders and taking phone calls nonstop to make this possible for you! Meet one of our many customer service employees, Chris Freer! As always, we sit down to talk and learn more about our MVP!
-What are you hoping for for Christmas?
Christmas to me is a time of year to spend with family and friends. It’s not really about the gifts to me. I am wishing for a new year filled with even more excitement and new experiences.
Dave and Adam’s is a family first company, so we love to hear our employees spending quality time with their loved ones.
-Tell me about your background with DA/HP?
I am a customer service representative and have been with the company for 8 months.
And he’s an MVP for a reason! Keep up the great work, Chris!
-What attracted you to work for DA/HP?
I collected cards myself. I thought this would be a cool and awesome experience!
Like most of our employees, Chris was a collector prior to his time with Dave and Adam’s! Although he has a collection of trading cards, Chris is especially proud of his coin collection.
-What was your career before DA/HP?
I was an assistant manager at a bowling alley.
– What are your interests outside of work?
A few of my interests outside of work include bowling, photography and video games. My best score so far in bowling is a 276, while my best set is 712. My favorite video game of all time is Call of Duty Black Ops 1, but my favorite video game right now is Minecraft.
Wow! These pictures are beautiful! Also, it seems as though Dave and Adam’s is full of excellent bowlers! Look out for us in the next PBA tournament!
– Do you have any hobbies?
One of my hobbies I enjoy is hunting with my father. We only go hunting once a year but the build up and preparation make it enjoyable. Hunting has been done in my family for generations, and it’s an honor to carry this tradition.
A tradition is a channel of memory that reminds us of those who came before us. We’re sure this is an awesome bonding experience with your father!
– What’s your favorite product that we sell?
That is a hard question. I really love 2020 Panini Select Football because of the variety of colors and die cuts. Anything Topps baseball Triple Threads is another one of my favorites because of how nice the hits are out of those products.
The 2020 Panini Select die cuts are absolutely stunning, and you can look for those here!
– Do you have any pets?
I have a dog named Bella.
What an absolute cutie just living her best life!
– All time favorite movie?
Ocean’s 11
Ted Nugent called, he wants his shirt back.
-Is there a particular moment or time that sticks out about your experience here?
The overall team work and help everyone provides.
When any problem arises at Dave and Adam’s, it’s all hands on deck. Each and every one of our employees offers a helping hand to resolve any issue or challenge we may face!
-What inspires you to be the best at your job?
A quote that has stuck with me all my life is “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”- Tim Notke
And what a great quote to live by! Several athletes, including Tim Tebow and Kevin Durant, have lived by these exact words.
-What has been your biggest challenge here, and what did you do to solve it on your own?
My biggest challenge was trying to remember everyone’s name. To overcome this challenge, it just took time to learn everyone’s name.
And Chris leaving us with some nice, family friendly, dry humor! We love it, and we appreciate everything you do for us, Chris!
Thank you once again for tuning into this week’s MVP Monday employee spotlight! We’ll catch ya on the flipside next week!
