Blaine:  What was the best card in the deck for you on Friday?

Charles:  Well, I like turning cards sideways and playing cards that make my opponent groan. So, Voice of Resurgence early and Advent of the Wurm mid to late game. As an honorable mention, last week I cut a single soldier of the pantheon and a single experiment one for two Brimaz and I must say he is totally legit.  Every time I played him he affected the board state immediately.

Blaine: If you had to make some changes, what would they be?

Charlies: That’s a toughie. Um I am playing everything standard legal that fits in with agro except maybe loxodon smiter and I just don’t like that card. Maybe I’ll make some alterations when Journey Into Nyx becomes legal.  Sorry for copping out on that question. My brother plays a similar list except he plays Elspeth and banisher priest. And I HATE his deck.

Blaine: Seems like there’s a little sibling rivalry going on.

Charles: It was so satisfying to have had to play him in round 4 last week.  I crushed him 3 out of 3 times! My deck was just faster and more consistent.

Blaine: Alright, we’ll see if the deck can make a repeat and take down this weeks event as well!

Our Modern Champion was Joe Steet again with UR Hippo Twin. His decklist was unchanged from previous designs and Joe tells us his decklist is perfectly tuned.

Keep an eye out for more winner’s circle coverage and don’t miss our PTQ on March 29th, BUFFALO’s FIRST!
