What Does It Take to Sell 6,100 Orders over Black Friday Weekend?

From the entire team here at Dave and Adam’s, we wanted to thank all of our customers for participating in our Black Friday and Cyber Monday Weekend. It’s been a record breaking couple of days for us and we wanted to share a little of what’s been going on behind the scenes.

We’ve had a rotating crew of at least 50 employees here Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We worked off the Turkey hangover with a few pots of coffee and were here bright and early Friday morning as the sale officially kicked off at 5:30 A.M. EST

We knew that it would be interesting early as there were nearly a thousand people waiting on our site at the beginning of the sale – even some customers we interacted with on Facebook and Twitter that were staying up late over on the West Coast!

Once items started popping up on the sale page and our progress bars of items available started shrinking, it was time for our sales and customer service team to get down to business. Thousands of orders were processed during the first couple days of the sale and the warehouse team was ready to get them taken care of.

 As the warehouse team pulled cart after cart of boxes, the shipping crew wore their arms out with tape guns. If you’ve never heard packaging tape sealing up a box, you are missing out.

We’ve already filled three UPS trailers with packages since last Thursday, and we’re still getting caught up on Cyber Monday specials today!

At the end of the day, these promotions are hard work on our entire team here – but it’s a fun way to kick off the holiday season and give back to our customers with some amazing deals! The fun won’t stop as we kick off our Holiday Daily Deals today!

We enjoy all the feedback we’ve gotten on the sale through facebook, twitter, and Google + as well as customer interaction the last few days. We are putting together more exciting promotions and look forward to our next big sale event. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season, and of course gets all the cards they want!
