DACW Live’s Excellent Adventure to the National

Our DACW 2 Live Crew (Sean & Alex) made their first ever trip to the National Sports Collectors Convention last weekend. The guys packed up the DACW Live Lounge and hit the road for Chicago.

The guys decided to have some fun along the way, so they did a contest for their fans on Twitter.

On our way to the show we thought it would be fun to have a little scavenger hunt for our Twitter followers. I (Sean) took one of my business cards and wrote that someone would get some free packs of cards if they brought the card back to me at the National. I took a few pictures and  waited to see what would happen. ESPN Mint Condition wanted some cards left in Connecticut but that was a little out our way. People responded that every rest stop looked like the picture I took (that was part of the game). To my delight a young man walked up to our booth and handed me back my business card and he walked away with a handful of great packs.

“We also had a few fans travel to see us live in person and they came to the show with signs,” said Sean, “Of course I was happy to see #sean4prez2016 and Alex was impressed by his Alex 1/1 sign as well.”

Sean and Alex were busy cracking cases throughout the show, and they weren’t just confined to their booth. They broke two cases on the main stage plus Alex broke a case of Topps Inception Baseball at the Topps booth. By the end of the show they had busted almost 50 cases.

The DACW Live guys had a ton of fun at the National and can’t wait to go back next year. The real fun was waiting for them when they returned, however, as they have to sort and send out all the cards they broke during the show.
