Dave & Adam’s purchases rare Babe Ruth/Walter Johnson autograph at the National

Dave & Adam’s brought back what can only be described as a one-of-a-kind baseball collectable from the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago. This piece contains autographs of two of the biggest legends in baseball history, Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson.

The item was purchased during the National from a Boston-area collector, who already had it authenticated by PSA/DNA and graded 9 Mint by PSA.  Even without the grading you can tell both autographs are in excellent condition. The signatures are on opposite sides of a page taken from an album or an autograph book of some kind. Based on the quotation marks around the “Babe” on the Ruth signature, it appears to be from earlier in his career.

Ruth and Johnson were a part of the inaugural class of the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. It is very special to have an autograph from just one of these players, but it is truly unique to have both on the same piece.
