Bob’s Blog: 1971/72 Topps Basketball Box Purchase

I just bought an extremely scarce box of 1971/72 Topps Basketball. The box contains 24 packs with 10 cards per pack. In the 20 years that Dave and Adam’s has been in business, this is the first box from 1971/72 that has ever been offered to us.  This is a box that you just do not see very often. NBA players are on cards 1 to 144 and ABA players are on cards 145 to 233.  The key Rookie Cards in this set are Nate Archibald, Rick Barry, Larry Brown, Dave Cowens, Spencer Haywood, Dan Issel, Bob Lanier, Rudy Tomjanovich and Doug Moe.
