After learning Beckett Collectibles parted ways with CEO Kunal Chopra less than a year after he took over the role, the company officially announced Wednesday that Industry Summit creator Kevin Isaacson has taken over for Chopra.
Beckett says Isaacson brings some 25 years of industry experience, including his media work with Sports Collectors Digest, manufacturing at Donruss Playoff, and e-commerce with eBay.
Isaacson created the Summit in 2011 and led Beckett’s acquisition of Southern Hobby, where he was CEO for the past two years.
“Our company’s mission has been clear since Dr. Beckett issued his first price guide: We create the very best products and services for collectors,” Isaacson said. “I’m excited to help the incredible team at Beckett build on their long tradition of excellence.”
“Kevin and I go way back, and I am excited about his new position,” Dr. Beckett said. “First, we were friendly competitors when he was in leadership at Krause Publications, and then we worked closely together through his legacy with the Industry Summit.”
