Pernell Karl "P. K." Subban(born May 13, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and an alternate captain for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). Subban was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round, 43rd overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. In 2013, he won the James Norris Memorial Trophy, and was tied with Kris Letang as the leading scorer amongst all defencemen.

Internationally, Subban has won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
