Jason Pominville was drafted 55th overall in the second round by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He earned a roster spot with Buffalo Sabres in the 2005-06 season and played successfully with the team for 9 years until the 2013-14 season.
Before the beginning of the 2017-18 the fan favorite Pominville was traded back to the Sabres to add his scoring touch to the top line.
